Metallurgical Engineering & General Services Co-op Ltd. was established since 10th April 1978 and carried out production & economical functions for fourteen years in Yangon Technology University compound under the supervision of professor of Metallurgical Engineering Department. In 1992 budget year, it was re-located at Shewpyitha Industrial Zone.
At present we have six manufacturing departments units such as,
    Steel Foundry Shop
    Cast Iron Foundry Shop
    Non-Ferrous Foundry Shop
    Machining Shop
    Design & Quality Control Department .
    Research & Development Unit

Export brass, bronze hardware of garden furniture & outdoor umbrella to Germany and Cast Iron Ladle to Singapore.
There are some imported items such as Engine Generators and Welding Transformers and also the Acid, Basic and Neutral Lining Materials for Iron and Steel Manufacturing Industry.
Now, we are extended a new business such as to supply Angle Iron, Steel Bar, Channel, U-Beam, I-Beam can be ordered to us. Now, we are extending a new construction material importing business. Any grade according to American and Japanese Standard of Angle Iron, Steel Bar, Channel, U-Beam and I-Beam can be ordered to us.
