Zay (market/bazaar) – For the people in Nay Pyi Taw region to purchase merchandise and utility goods easily, there are many big markets established in the Nay Pyi Taw area such as the Nay Pyi Taw Myo Ma market at the back of Tha Pyay Gone roundabout and on the the Pyinmana-Taung Nyo road, Tha Pyay Gone market, Thiri Yadana market, Mingalar market and the Ah-Har-Ya Thukha market. In Ottarathiori and Pobbathiri townships there are also new markets coming up soon. The Ah-Har-Ya Thukha market is a round the clock market. Modern day utility goods and materials are available at the Nay Pyi Taw Junction Centre, Zayathiri Merchandise Stall and Capital Hyper Mart.
There is Bawga Thiri Highway bus station in Nay Pyi Taw and travelling by highway coaches from all over the country to Nay Pyi Taw is available. It is in the Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana and at the corner of the Yangon-Mandalay Road and Yarzahtarni Road. It takes 4 hours from Yangon to reach there. The New Nay Pyi Taw station was completed recently. The Nay Pyi Taw to Mandalay Express and return runs daily in the morning. Nay Pyi Taw is accessible by both domestic and international airlines. The new and modern international airport is currently under construction.
