One can travel by road on the highway from Yangon to Bagan and Mandalay. Also available is the river mode of transportation. Since the summer months are extremely hot and winter extremely cold, it is advisable to wear appropriate clothing to suit the weather conditions. Smoking is prohibited when street walking.
